Jobortunity aims to give youth that first stepping stone to get a job and from here work their way up the employment ladder. In order to do this Jobortunity needs a stepping stone too! We need all the support we can get to start and build a top quality training institute!
If you would like to support Jobortunity we invite you to fund one of the packages offered below:
Jobortunity is also very busy developing income generating activities.
For example:
- Catering assignments for lodges. E.g. we’ve assisted at a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation diner for 360 guests.
- Sales of several handmade Tanzanian products in the Netherlands and Tanzania, the profit goes to Jobortunity.
- Consultancy work, the fees go to Jobortunity.
Until that income is sufficient to run the training institute we appreciate all the help that we can get!

At this moment we have the following items on the Jobortunity wish list :
- An outside handwash stand and basin.
- An outside tent roof, where students can sit during lunch in case of rain.
- Additional budget for the Jobortunity healthy school lunches
- Drink water filters
- Funding for an additional trainer
- Computers for the life skills program “the world starts with me”
- Cooking house
- A bicycle
- Repairs to the Jobortunity minibus
- Training Material
Jobortunity understands the need to demonstrate self reliance and therefore aims to set up income generating projects to fund the programme. One such project is “The Smallest Hotel in Africa”, a one-bedroom hotel that will not only enable the trainees to meet hotel guests and practice their skills but will also subsidize the training costs. Furthermore, Jobortunity is working together with professional hotel and management training bureaus to train the Tanzanian trainers. This to ensure professional and quality training packages, also the training bureaus will support the scheme financially by contributing part of their profit.
